The First Academic* Post Graduate Award in Parental Alienation Studies
We are delighted to announce the first Post Graduate Certificate in Parental Alienation Studies designed and developed by our co-founder Brian O Sullivan (MSc), Dr. Padhraic Gibson, Ireland, Mr. Brendan Guildea (BL), Ireland, Dr. Charlie Azzopardi, the Institute of Family Therapy Malta and Dr. Claudette Portelli, Italy, the Institute for Strategies, Research and Training for delivery in Malta and Ireland this September.
This program is designed specifically for professionals, key stakeholders across the social, legal, mental health, medical, nursing, social care, allied health, youth work, counselling and psychotherapy as well as educational professions who find themselves working with families and young people experiencing the trauma of Parental Alienation.
This program is unprecedented in Europe. Graduates of this program will be enabled and empowered to draw upon the detailed contemporary literature and evidence based best practice in their assessment, case formalisation, legal report writing and interventions with families optimising the outcomes for children and young people across their lifespan.
This program will be the entry point for our Post Graduate Diploma and Master’s Degree program in Parental Alienation Studies.
The modules include historical and contemporary theory of Parental Alienation, evidence based best practice, assessment, and intervention processes for mild, moderate, and severe parental alienation.
Further modules include, legal report writing for the family law Courts, Child development, attachment and the family life cycle, personality disorders and strategic dialogue-advanced – communication strategies.
